冗余CPU中的EGD通讯以太网全局数据的产生在冗余系统中，只有激活单元产生egd交换数据。这样会减少以太网通讯的数量并使用户更简单的处理交换数据。特殊的，用户可以和非冗余型系统-样处理冗余系统中的egd交换数据的问题。当一个单元不再是激活单元后，它会停止产生交换数据。如果激活单元的输出被设置成失效，每个单元都不产生egd数据。
