用户定义故障可以记录到PLC故障表中。发生用户定义故障时，故障作为“应用程序消息(错误代码)”显示在适当的故障表中，并且后面有最多24个字符的描述性消息。用户可以.定义描述性消息的所有字符。虽然消息必须以null字符结束，例如0，但是null字符不计入24字符之内。如果消息中包含的字符数大于24，则只显示24个字符。特定的用户定义故障可以用于设定系统状态变量(%SA0081–%SA0112).
